Professionals and businesses have been creating sites using Joomla for years now, and you can easily add Moolah to your Joomla website using our Joomla Extensions. Let's take a look at how to create a Joomla commerce website.

Get the Moolah Joomla Extensions

First, download the extensions from our repository on GitHub, where can find this and other CMS plugins, such as our plugin for WordPress. These extensions make your life a bit easier by automating the loading the required store libraries to embed your store into your site.

Download the Installation Package

Once the package is downloaded, you can install it using the Extension Manager. Please remember that only site administrators can install extensions.

Configure the Component

You can use the Moolah E-Commerce Store Manager to access your store directly from within Joomla. Select “Moolah E-Commerce” from the “Components Menu”. If you haven't yet entered your Store ID, click the “Options” menu and enter it now. One obtains the Store ID when they sign-up for a Moolah store account at http://moolah-ecommerce.com/sign-up.

Once you have a few categories and products entered, you're ready to place the store on the site. Normally this is done by creating a menu link using Joomla's Menu Manager. When editing the menu item, you can also provide the ID of a specific product or category of products if you wish.

With the Store ID configured and the menu link created, you should now be able to visit the front of your site and see your store in the page.

Configure the Content Plugin

The Moolah E-Commerce Content Plugin for Joomla provides an alternative way for you to embed your store into your site. Using this method, you can place the store within an article, which is a great way to present a featured product that you wish readers to know about.

First, go to the Joomla plugin manager and enable the plugin. You can also provide a Category ID and Product ID if you wish to load a specific category or project. The field for the DIV ID identifies the HTML container into which the store should be loaded.

Finally, go to the Content Manager and insert the special code {moolah} into an article. The final code should look like this.

<div id="moolah" >{moolah}</div>

With the plugin installed, configured, and loaded, your Moolah store should automatically appear in the article.
